Last week my 4 year old son and 9 year old daughter did the incline. It was my sons frst time and he made it to the top all by himself (me standing behind him) in 1:29:03. It amazes me he can stay focused for this stuff at his age! I just told him the biggest sticks were at the top and he kept climbing. My daughter went ahead and was waitingquite awhile for us. We all three ran down the bar trail together in 2:38:04.
This morning I went by myself and knocked 3:31 seconds off my first time a few…

I finished the Harvest Moon Long course in 5:58:34. Even though I was aiming at going sub 5:30:00. I gave it everything I had and was really happy with the end result. I had a little trouble at first swimming straight and kept winding up Left of the buoys. Eventually I figured out that the buoys were angled to the right of the shoreline and I kept swimming straight later realizing thats why I was going over the top of some people. I figured it out about 3/4 of the way and finished off strong and…

I am really excited for tomorrows race. Even though it was kind of last minute to do the race. I feel good. I took some time off after IM CDA and didnt do much volume. I needed to get the leg healthy and I started feeling 100% about a month ago so after a month of consistent training im ready. Mentally I feel great knowing im healthy and confident in my fitness after all the IM training. In a perfect world I would of liked to have had more volume of bike and run going into this race but im just…

Hey Everyone,
We are just about 3 weeks from the race. We started this journey last year when myself , Dj and Derek registered for this years race. I remember Dj and I going into the office at 5 am before a ride to sign up because we were stressing that the race would be filled up by the time we were done with our ride. Later that day I received a call from Derek and he said he was staring at the registration screen deciding if he should make the final click..He clicked and we've all been clipp…

Well I survived my long ride in Fountain followed by a 20 minute run(yes I shortened it 10 minutes because I got started late) but there were quite a few animals along the way who didn't survive there journey. It seemed every 100 yards there was a dead animal that had been hit. Skunks, antelope, rabbits, etc..I guarantee the coyotes know where to go to get a meal out there. Anyway, Derek and I rode for 4 hours and it was a little cold when we started but it warmed up probably around 10am. It fel…

Saturday if you are intersted I am riding out in Fountain. Below are the directions. This is a great 40 Mile loop. I am going to ride about 60 miles followed by a 30 minute run. The course is pretty much flat with some rolling hills, not much traffic and not a lot of buildings. Mostly farms and cows....My wife is going to be setting up and shooting some footage of all that decide to ride. Let me kow if you are in and if you have any other questions....Ross

This saturday 3/8 I rode for 2 hours and 45 minutes followed by a 30 minute run. I can tell my fitness has improved and I'm on the right track but I know I have many more workouts to do before Ironman. This weekend I was more prepared for the bike ride and was stocked up with Hammer Gel, Enduarathon, water and Salt Sticks. I had 6 sevings of gel on my ride about 1 shot every 30 minutes washed down with water, 1 salt stick every 45 minutes taken with water and a drink of endurathon every 10 minut…
