Well, I haven't had a lot of time to sit and type any entries in my Blog Post, so I'll sum it all up over the past few weeks.

I've been taking Strength Training classes about twice per week...another name for those classes is Kick My A** class in my opinion. After all those squats and lunges, it's a miracle I have the ability to walk the next day!

I've been taking it easy with my run routine so I don't injure my knee. On occasion, if I push too hard, I can feel some aggravation coming on, so I just lay off and go to a fast walk pace. I've been getting in the pool on average of 4 days per week, which is a lot for me. I've had some not so good days where I couldn't seem to get a "rhythm" going then I had those days like...huh?? If I can swim like this the day of the race I might actually make top 40!! LOL Like that matters...

I've been getting on the bike about 3 days per week and really enjoy it. I haven't done any more spin classes, but I've been getting on the spin bike in the workout room and on our trainer at home at a nice steady pace.

I had the opportunity to go to Longmont where I'll be doing my race in two weeks and it's a pretty flat course. A large hill on the run which worries me since it's the last leg of the race...but I think I'll survive. They had buoys out for the Oktober Sprint Triathlon and they looked SOOOOOOO far way. I was like, Holy Cow! I'm going to swim THAT!?! I did my 1st official open water swim while I was there and did pretty good. A little freaked I couldn't see what was going on below and a bit concerned about opening my mouth in that water...but I did it! Plus I rented a full body wetsuit to get acclimated to how it will feel in the water and I was so relived to have some buoyancy to count on with the suit. WHEW! At least I can float if I can't go on!

Albeit all the training and tired days, I feel pretty good. Last couple of days I skipped on working out, which is probably not a good thing, but I've just been so burnt going back and forth...swimming...running...biking...ugh. I just needed a good break. Tomorrow I'm back on track for more a** kicking and going to step it up a bit so I'm good and ready for Sept. 21st.
