I have trained for almost a year for the IronMan Arizona. I bought a "real" bike, I took time away from my family and I feel like I haven't slept in a year. It has been hard but honestly has been a huge blessing to me. I have changed physically, bur more imporantly I have changed mentally. I am not cocky but even going into the race I feel I have won and have had one of the most wonderful and rewarding personal years in a long long time.
Tomorrow I go on my last long ride before the race. I have been battling a stress fracture in my left leg, but I feel pretty healthy and hope to obviously finish, but beyond that I want to finish sub 15 if possible. My bike is dialed in, I have gone over it with a fine tooth comb no less than 3 times tightening each bolt, screw, a small twist here, a little tweak there. I bought the NeverReach system and did have to modify it to make it function better but I am very happy with it.
I have new Saucony shoes that I absolutely love, and I feel good about what I need to do. I feel that this event and what I have done to lead to this fast approaching day has made me completely aware of being apart of something much larger than myself.
After my race in Arizona I will be co-hosting an event at the REI Flagship store downtown on February 7th. Please if you can make it and spin it would be awesome. We are getting some MAJOR media coverage for the event and expect 50-75 spinners. Please contact me if you want to be involved.

I will update everyone after I come back hopefully with a successful trip.
God Bless,
Ray
